NUR is free to use. There is nothing to buy, no subscription and no advertising. These terms are short because the arrangement is simple.
Using NUR
You may use NUR for your own worship and daily practice. Please do not attempt to break, disrupt or misuse the service, or use it to harm others.
Your account
An account is optional and only needed for prayer circles and shared alarms. You are responsible for the name and picture you choose, and for what you share with the circles you join. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
Circles and shared alarms
Anyone with an invite link can join the circle it belongs to. Only invite people you trust. People in your circle can see which of today’s five prayers you have marked as prayed — nothing else. You can leave a circle, or block and report someone, at any time.
Religious content
Prayer times are calculated using well-established methods and your chosen madhab, but they are a calculation. Where a local mosque or authority differs, follow them. Qur’an text and translations are reproduced from published sources, credited in the app.
No warranty
NUR is provided as it is, without warranty. We cannot guarantee that it will always be available, or that a notification will always arrive — phones, networks and operating systems being what they are. Please do not rely on it as your only means of knowing a prayer time.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them.
